Food Adventure: Haidilao Hotpot X Adverts- Vogue Avenue, Ellysage, Topazette

Food Adventure
Haidilao Hotpot@River Valley Road

Since I was little, I was taught to share with people around me, especially when it comes to food. My mom would always say that it's just manners to offer others first even though they may decline. That habit has grown into me and I can't shake it off no matter what I do. Hence, when I've just experienced some really good food, it's only natural for me to share it with you guys! This round of food adventures revolves around pretty much a fan-static Chinese cuisine, hot pot, and top notch customer service. It's none other than Haidilao Hotpot at River Valley Road.

Haven't heard of them before? It's time to come out from the bubble and try it out. Trust me, you're in for a treat and you won't regret it. I don't blog much about food simply because I'm definitely not someone who'd spend a bomb on my tummy. I rather splurge on shopping any-day. hehehe. So when I'm actually taking out time and putting in effort into a post specially just for food, you'd know that it's really REALLY good.

Basically, Haidilao was founded in 1994 in China and it serves mainly Sichuan style hotpot. According to it's website, the company has opened 72 restaurants in Beijing, Shanghai, Xi-an, Zhengzhou, Tianjin, Nanjing, Hangzhou and Shenzhen etc. in the past 18 years. They're relatively new in Singapore and they're so awesome, they don't need to do any marketing at all. Which means, this is not an advertorial. I'm really just super impressed with them that I feel the urgency to blog about this!

I've only been to haidilao twice and it's so good that I get random cravings for the soup now and then ever since my first visit. Fai and I loved it so much that we went back again after just 4 days from the first visit. That's quite a lot of calories to take in such a short period of time but it's just too hard to resist the temptation! Both our visits were in the company of Xavier and Hayden-the masterminds behind it all. They're pretty much Haidilao's secret ambassadors cause they visit the restaurant at least twice a week!!! That's cray cray. Thanks to this special hotpot, a clique between us called "Let's Get Fat!" was formed. That speaks volume of the power of Haidilao hotpot.

The following images were taken during the second visit where we just came comfortably dressed so don't get alarm at the sight of my attire fit for just a marketplace. hehehe. We actually dragged Hayden out of bed just for this. Poor girl but proves that she's such a great team player ;) #Iknowyouarereadingthis
Caught Xavier off guard checking out Shine's new Samsung NXmini! It's so tiny, you'd barely notice it. Or are Xavier's hands just way too big? HAHAHA
With the darling Shine jie jie <3 Pardon my eyebags :/
Mandatory group shot!!! #welfie. The reason why everyone's in shot is because I finally own a camera with a flip screen! hehehehe. Can't wait to tell you more about my Samsung NXmini in my next few posts ;) #nothisisnotanad #ireallylovemynewcamera
Alright folks, here's the great thing about Haidilao that left a super good impression on me after the first visit. I simply adore restaurants that provide excellent customer service. Let's be frank, it's almost impossible to experience a good service in Singapore. It's just not our trait. Hence, I was really impressed and surprised at the amount of attention we were shown by the waiters at Haidilao. We were constantly checked on, making sure that we were enjoying our meals, and when we'd requested for something, their staffs gets them done immediately.

Bonus points includes additional services that other restaurants don't offer. We could charge our phones or any electrical devices while eating, simply ask the waiters for help and they'd get it done for free! Also, I was offered a hair tie to keep my mane of my face while I enjoy my meal. Which restaurant does that?! We were also given plastic sheets to keep our phones in so that we won't dirty them while cooking. Also, we were given aprons to keep our clothes stain-free!

Last but least, the queue to get a seat at Haidilao can get pretty insane during the peak hours. Xavier said that some people actually queue for about 3 hours before getting a seat. So if you're planning to visit Haidilao any time soon, make sure that you've made a reservation. If you're waiting however, fret not, you would still be offered some light food while waiting for free!!! That's what I'd call excellent customer service. And it's one of the reasons why I keep coming back for more.
Without a doubt, the food is AWESOME!!! I've heard of Haidilao before but I never gave it a thought because I would rather eat other cuisines besides Chinese any-day. But all mindset has been changed because... (I know I've said this tons of times before in this post but...) IT'S JUST TOO GOOD. There's definitely a difference in terms of quality of the food served. They're a lot fresher and the soup's really flavourful though it may be a little too oily for my liking. But once a while is perfectly fine ;)
Haidilao's a great place to celebrate a special occasion, be it your mom or dad's birthday, a job promotion, or simply a gathering of really great company. I would say that it's not somewhere I would recommend you to head to often for steamboat because it's price range is a little too high for the amount of food you get. Yes, the quality and service is awesome, but if you're someone who loves to eat a large serving in one seating, then you might find this place a little overpriced. But hey, what's so wrong with treating yourself to a great meal with good friends once a while right?

Haidilao is located at River Valley Road, Clarke Quay Singapore. 2nd floor of 3D building. Make a reservation by calling +65 6337 8626/6337 8627. For more information, check out their website at http://www.haidilao.com/sg/. Oh yes, I forgot to mention, make sure you order their handmade noodles!! They'll actually do it on the spot right in front of your faces (literally).

Thanks for reading :))))
I'm actually super sick now. Having a fever at 37.7 Degree Celsius :(
Hopefully I'll get better soon. I hate this feeling....

As always, Vogue Avenue never stop to supply their customers with the prettiest and trendiest apparels around. I am certain that you're all aware of how versatile the apparels offered by them are! Whether you're into edgy clothes or you're interested in something a little more feminine, you know that Vogue Avenue's that place to turn to. This time, I'd picked two items that are a little more casual but they're definitely statement pieces not to be missed!

Wolf Sweater Tank in Black
This tank would be perfect for days where I would like to dress casual without looking too dressed down. It would definitely look great with a pair of ripped denim shorts or ripped boyfriend jeans. I love how thick the material is making sure that I'm not showing too much skin, since it's armhole's already pretty huge. Without a doubt, this is a pretty tumblr-worthy tank don't you think? hehe

Leopard Vibes Jacket
I totally adore this jacket!!! I know I don't wear prints that much but it's almost impossible to not own any with leopard prints. They're so pretty in their own way and they have an ability to make one look glamorous in an instant. You can't tell from the pictures, but the quality of the jacket's really awesome. It isn't too thick which means I can even wear it in Singapore's humid climate!

It's summer and Ellysage is definitely the site to head to! Summer floral dresses and casual swing tops are so their thing. Check out their apparels under their latest arrivals tab and I'm sure that you'll find something you'll really fancy! Here are my picks^^

Amanda Halter Top in Black
I've been using this top to pair with tons of apparels simply because it's super versatile and has the ability to make anything look a little more glamorous in an instant. I love it from the moment I saw it! In fact, I got them in both black and white. hehehe. It features a sexy low back detail and a halter neckline that I am totally digging!

Amanda Halter Top in White
The white piece looks a little more elegant and it gives off a different appeal. Just like the black one, it's super comfy and looks great paired with almost anything. Currently, they're both probably one of my favourite go-to tops. These are wardrobe staples that you can't miss out on!

*Premium* Rydel Mesh Embroidery Midi
I am in LOVE with this dress! It's not often that you'd find something so perfect and comfortable at the same time. I'm definitely saving this dress for a special occasion, no wonder it's a *Premium* item. The quality is superb and the fit is just right. I had so much fun taking pictures of myself in this dress too thanks to it's really pretty chiffon material that sways so beautifully as I turn.

Jersey Black Florals Top
I don't wear casual t-shirts just any other day but I had to lay my hands on this show-stopping floral tee. First of all, I really love the material, it's pretty rigid which doesn't make the tee too sloppy or under-dressed. I love pairing this top with ripped denim shorts or black leather skater skirts or boyfriend jeans... well, basically anything! It's so versatile and it looks great on it's own.
