About JCube

JCube is a leisure and entertainment mall with an area of 210,000 sq ft. It spreads across five levels and houses Singapore's only Olympic-size ice rink and the first IMAX cinema. It is operated by CapitaMalls Asia which also handles Westgate and IMM Building- thus offering a total of 600 stores meeting the various needs of shoppers and they're all easily accessible and linked by a free shuttle bus service. Each CapitaMall has its own positioning that complements one another and their combined offerings are set to appeal to both locals and tourists, and establish the precinct as a destination where shoppers can spend an entire day.

My experience at J.Avenue Official Launch

I was invited down to JCube last week to celebrate the launch of J.Avenue alongside Xavier Ong. It was an unforgettable event since it was my first time heading down as a "VIP" guest. I got to meet my faithful readers and loyal fans, and though I was extremely nervous at first, the smiles of their faces made me feel better in an instant. If you were there and if you're reading this now, I just wanna say thank you so much for your love and support! No matter how exhausting this industry may be, you guys keep me going! :)

I was pretty unprepared for the event to be honest. I've been pretty down lately and all I can seem to think about are negative stuffs so I honestly didn't expect anyone to come and see me. I didn't think that there were going to be cameras pointing in my direction all the time, I didn't know that I would have to answer questions on a mic either! That caught me off guard and if I'm not wrong, I fumbled a lot here and there, unsure of what to do. Thank God I had Xavier by my side to help me out. hehehe

We were there to join our lovely readers and fans at the J.Avenue Flipbooth. The Flipbooth allows shoppers to take a 15-second video of themselves, after which they would receive an exclusive limited edition 60-page flipbook that replays the action in print. I had an awesome time taking pictures with my readers at the Flipbooth! It was something I've never done before so that was pretty cool. Xavier and I were a little shy at first but after a few rounds, we became a little crazy and started jumping and dancing around with our readers.

From now till 26th October 2014, redeem a free pictorial flipbook when you spend a minimum of $70 in JCube. A maximum of three same-day receipts, with at least one receipt from J.Avenue, can be combined for redemption.

It was my first time getting asked for an autograph. I never thought it would ever happen to me so I honestly didn't know what to write! hahaha. If this goes on, I think I might need a talent manager.

It was nice to know that I have male readers too! They were all so sweet :)

Next, Xavier and I were taken on a tour around J.Avenue. In my opinion, J.Avenue is definitely a great place to shop at if you're looking for affordable and trendy merchandises, be it apparels, accessories or gadgets. I foresee it becoming an exciting hang out place for youths, especially if you live in the West. 

We didn't expect such a turn up at all! I had no idea that Cisco guards were going to be present to escort us around either. I apologise if they pushed you guys away rudely.
